Was wondering whether anyone can provide any insight on whether it is worth attempting to use points to upgrade on QF77 PER - SIN on a 737 or would I be better off saving the points?

It's not a 737, it's an A332.

It's a 5pm departure out of a Perth, so you get a nice meal and sleeping probably won't be that important. Just did Perth-Melbourne-Christchurch on A330 changing to 737. While the 737 is not as spacious in business, its fine for your timing and vastly better than economy!

Well it really comes down to a personal choice.
- How many points do you have and what value do you ascribe to them?
- what's you FF status, can you use the Lounges, etc, irrespective of an upgrade?
Only you can decide if it's a good use of your points or not.
