Travelling from Singapore to lhr on Etihad in June. They say loung is closed and offer a generous 3000 points in compensation, except I am OW emerald and will not use these points. I would rather paid access to a 3 rd party lounge than useless points. Anyway does anybody know if or when the Etihad j lounge will reopen?
There is no actual Etihad lounge in Singapore. You can use the points to put towards EY duty free...steer clear of SATS premium lounge if you choose to buy access. Plaza Premium or Marhaba would be better options. Although try get in just showing your business ticket to Marhaba as that is the contracted lounge for Etihad, never know the agent may usher you in.
