Sydney Airport's T-Bus transfer between terminals is now free

Transferring between Sydney Airport's international (T1) and domestic (T2, T3) terminals is a pain, but at least it's now a less expensive pain – indeed, the pain comes free.

The airport has axed the $6 fare for its T-Bus service, which runs on a loop between the international and domestic terminals, with the shuttle now being free.

This makes a slightly more appealing alternative to the train ($6.20), although of course both Qantas and Virgin Australia offer their own free transfer services to eligible passengers transferring between domestic and international flights (or vice versa).

Sydney Airport's T-Bus runs daily from 6am through to 8.50pm at stops located on the Arrivals level outside each terminal, with the inter-terminal journey taking around 10 minutes.

And so it should be. I always found it astounding that our biggest airport made some people pay $6 to simply change terminals.

Nice. This is a common sense move and long overdue.

...and by the year 2000 Sydney airport will have a train loop to whisk you quietly and efficiently between all terminals.

This is great news! And can anyone answer this question ....... if I book a ticket which is a VA flight from BNE into SYD T2 connecting to a Delta flight from T1, how long should I allow for the connection? Also, will I be eligible for VA's own shuttle between terminals or is that only if you are connecting to another VA flight?
