Agree. I think the smarter option would be to give options. I think MEL would suit many cuisines (Indian, Somali, Greek, Italian etc) to reflect the multicultural nature of the city. Perhaps they'll learn in Sydney because I'm bored with the Asian Spice kitchen (even though it's always tasty, but...

People used to say that about going 14hrs non stop to the US (instead of via NAN HNL stops). Things move on and the world changes. Non stop to Europe will be the norm soon

With 12, I'm curious as to the routes. SYD/MEL LHR is a given as is SYD JFK. Can't see MEL JFK happening as Qantas is Sydney-centric, but maybe BNE LHR or will it be SYD CDG?

Not sure what the magic was. No matter how “good” your product in the air is, the MEL SYD terminals are zoos. Check-in at QF is easy and fast and no endless queues. Once inside security the spaces are markedly better. As for the ads on TV, well they say it all.

Emirates and NZ...my partner and I are flying Y, EK to NZ and we're QF Platinum and Gold. Does anyone know if we can use premium check-in and lounges in MEL and AKL because of our QF status?

Hi Nick. The term 'Business Class' is very generous from JQ. The seats are fine for the day flight to SIN, but they are only marginally better than most Premium Economy seats and I don't think as good as QF J domestic. The food and wine is the same as up the back, it's just free and t...
