IN BRIEF | Virgin Australia Velocity Gold and Platinum members will no longer receive complimentary access to Servcorp CBD Business Lounges from December 1 2016.
This little-known perk began in August last year, with top-tier travellers given one free CBD lounge visit per calendar month simply by presenting their Velocity Frequent Flyer card at Servcorp offices in 22 countries, with locations across Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, New York and more.
There, guests could plonk their laptop and work for just a few hours, or even the entire day, amidst a shared office environment with complimentary tea, coffee and wireless Internet – not unlike an airport lounge.
Servcorp will also cease awarding Velocity points from December 1 2016 on all paid services, while its bonus offers of up to 20,000 Velocity points upon signing for a new serviced office will too be withdrawn from the same date.

A lot of changes happening at the higher end of Velocity. They may start to test their customer loyalty soon with too many drip fed changes.

Was looking at reasons to switch back to Velocity, i guess that's another reason not to switch. This was a really handy perk.

I used it a couple of times and also paid up for private meetings rooms a few times as well, so the arrangement did drive a little bit of revenue Servcorps way. Disappointing, wonder what is next to go.
