We had Qantas business Syd - LAX return with a AA return from JFK all under the same PNR. AA from JFK no issues but upon check in at Qantas was told our tickets had been cancelled. No notification. Not cancelled by us or our agent event though our flight and seats were reconfirmed the previous day. Qantas blamed AA then our agent. This was Friday evening all flights on the weekend were full. No offer off compensation but for $42000 we could book a flight on Monday. Get real. Surely Qantas should shoulder some responsibility here. Our agent managed to secure us seats at no further charge on Monday flight albeit on standby. So my question is the tickets were cancelled at 12.17pm on Armadesus (whilst we were mid flight) AA uses Sabre. Any suggestions on how to get some compensation? Qantas does not deserve the loyality from the consumer when they as a national carrier leave thier passengers stranded without any offer of any assistance. Not happy Mr Joyce.

Awful. Isn't it good you had an agent?

I think you mean Amadeus.

Advice is only general: buy shares and vote in the November shareholder meeting. Alan is asking for a bonus.

Once you hold high membership, you are hamstrung without shares.

Surely there is a record of who actioned/cancelled the tickets on the booking PNR. It gets recorded in their system - did you find out or know for certain Qantas cancelled it?

AA have admitted some liability....but no compensation as they did their bit by getting us from A to B and Qantas ....well still on hold...
