Hi, I will be travelling overseas and will be flying on a 787 from Perth to Singapore and an A350-941 (Regional) from Singapore to Guangzhou. I am wondering what sort of interior they will have for the economy class? Will they have leather headrests? What type of seat pitch will they have?

Use the link below and it will allow you to see all seat details on any selected SQ aeroplane.

I recently flew on the Singapore A350 in economy. The seats were fabric, as were the headrests. Seat pitch felt pretty good, I'd say at least 32 inches and the seat itself has a lot of features. Huge screen, an excellent inflight map, separate cup holders and foldable table. What I thought Singapore did lack was good catering. The economy meal service was terrible, nothing like it was pre-covid, with no side salad, etc. Hot towels were gone, paper menus were gone and the sandwiches in the galley snack area were very, very stale. Regardless, Singapore is a great airline and I'll continue to fly them.

I haven't flown Singapore Air for a very long time but fair to say, I think Singapore Air products have significantly improved with wifi, entertainment and seat interiors. But I would like to say that all A350 (Long Haul and Medium Haul) should have the same seat interior for economy.

Flew their regional A350 variant - although in Economy class I believe it's the same across all a350's.

Anyways seating was cramped, service was terrible and catering was a a disgrace - they have definitely dropped from precovid service levels.

No hot towels
No menu cards given out
No economy class amenity kits
No drinks tray service immediately after take-off
Crew disappear and no where to be seen after meal service
One meal service on the leg between Australia and Singapore (pre-covid there was two and even Qantas offers two)

They are bringing back Hot Towels in first and business class in September and rest of the class in December

It looks like appetisers have been reintroduced to economy class since 1st June. Hot towels will be coming back later in the year too. It would be really nice to see paper menus reintroduced, it just makes it feel a bit more special.

Pre-covid flew the 787 Per-Sing and A350 Sing-Barcelona and hands down the A350 was the more comfortable experience.

Fabric seats with a great seat pitch, it seemed more of a comfortable ride than the 787 with a larger feeling cabin. Admittedly this was pre-covid and the soft product has changed since then.

I will be flying tonight on the 787-10 so hopefully the seat width will be as good. The economy will hopefully give me good products.

The entertainment system will be very good — the IFE will be good as it will have live tv and on demand programs. What I also do like about SIA is that the Airline will have free wifi.
