Qantas Auckland lounge upgrade status

Hi,

Does anyone know the status of the long promised Qantas lounge updates in Auckland?

I was there last November and nothing was started, and no sign of starting. I will be back there in early June, so hoping something has started.

Has anything happened yet? It is hard to find any updates anywhere.

I was there in February and not much had happened.

I was there in late March and it was still the same as per my visit back in 2019.

I will be there Saturday morning, can report back here.

I was there last week ... no changes as far as I could see.

I was there in March this year.. virtually nothing had changed from my previous visit in 2006!

I was there yesterday, no changes yet unfortunately.

Auckland is a low profile site for Qantas, limited competition and generally the passengers out of Auckland wont choose their provider based upon access to, and the quality of a pre-flight lounge. New Zealanders generally lean towards Air New Zealand, Australians towards Qantas. They will never be able to compete with the Air New Zealand lounge for footprint or quality in their home location so why would they be in any hurry to spend up big here.
