Does QF run own lounge in HKG? Not that I believe that it better than marvelous The Pier lounge running by CX, but just out of curiocity.

I went there after going to the Pier and the Wing. It's a QF Premium lounge. One of the best QF international lounges apart from the First Lounges.

It's very nice. I think it's better than the Wing if your flight leaves from one of the low numbered gates. I would rank it below the Pier though, and about even with the Bridge.

Agree with Steve987

CX lounge only better when Plats
QF superior otherwise

If you have plenty of time you can check out both CX and QF lounges. If you only have hand luggage you can check in online and print your boarding pass off at the airport. Ask at the information desk if you don't know where to find a printer.

I like to go to the QF Lounge first, have some char siu and a cocktail, go shower, then make my way to The Pier before my overnight CX flight back to Perth :)

I have aplenty of time (6hr+) and surely I will do both and may be more. I have been in The Pier CX lounge and by far it is the best lounge that I have been in. "Top" lounge that I visited was Concord one in LHR and frankly I do not rated it that high. 6+ hr is plenty of time and I do like to get most of it.

QFs lounges are good but concrete floors make them very cold and lack any sort of relaxing ambience. They can be loud. They also mix plats and plat 1's with golds and Qantas clubs.- bit of a zoo esp if there are disruptive children. If you're a plat don't hesitate to go to CX's Wing and grab a cabana room if possible or the very quiet and warm ambience of the Pier. That said the service and food at Pier and Wing has gone down hill somewhat. Never been in CX's business lounges so can't comment.

Thanks for opinion. I do not have any status and will be in J that time. CX Pier Business lounge is top lounge in my list (rated it higher than Concord one in LHR for example). It is nice, spacious, plenty of foods and drinks plus you can nap at the end of the lounge - it is quiet and dim there and they provide blankets. CX Wings IMHO not that impressive. But I also like to see what QF lounge look alike, so perhaps I will go to QF first and then to CX.

I depends what you are looking for.  If you are top-tier or travelling First, I don't think you can beat The Pier (or The Wing if you want to leave a long hot bath in a cabana).  If you are only entitled to business class lounge access, then....

If you like deli food / smoothies / salads, and a cool environment with a view of the apron, CX The Cabin
If you like carbs (breads, pastas) and warm environment, CX The Bridge
If you like dim sum and lots of space, QF lounge
If you like noodles and a very open feel, CX The Wing (and so on)

Better still, try all those you are entitled to, draw up a comparison report, and post it here!
