Hello everyone,

I got an email this morning asking "How likely would you be to recommend the QFF program to a friend, family member or colleague?"

I chose 7 and provided my honest thoughts. The last question of this particular survey (being different to the 'customer satisfaction' surveys one receives after almost every flight w/ QF) was if I'd like Qantas to know my individual details (my QFF number, FN, LN etc) and I said Yes.

Has anyone received this particular before and has anyone got a call or an email from Qantas re the survey responses? I'm keen to see if they do, as I'd like to explain to them why I provided the responses I did and why a 7, instead of a 9

For anyone interested, I mentioned ;

1. How they could up their J class meals from what is being served now ( which is an omlette or museli w/ dairy) to something more exciting (logistic & other things permitting). One could always eat a variety of things at the lounge prior to boarding, but not always everyone gets the time to visit the lounge or not always everyone likes what is served in the lounge

2. I also mentioned how they could up their meals on board by providing something that is closer to what the customer chose as his meal pre-order. For instance, if they customer chose "veg meal or vegan or diabetic" - they could provide some roasted veggies and bread or something similar, instead of a fruit cup with juice, a piece of fruit and a museli/nuts ball

3. How they could allows QFF Gold to access J lounge on domestic routes (just a better customer experience and the hush away from the most of times crowded Club) instead of QFF P and above

4. How they could provide direct QF metal or codeshare to KUL, with KUL being serviced majorly by MH (which is oneworld) via a MH booking/flight number and not a QF codeshare and how being on MH to KUL gives only lesser SC's when compared to (if made available) QF codeshare/metal to KUL - not sure if my understanding is right, but I thought I'd provide what I think could be beneficial for someone flying QF to KUL and into India and Middle East

5. Also mentioned how SIN (with SQ) to India/Middle East and beyond provides better experience (in terms of metal, seats, food) rather than a QF codeshare on Jet Airways (9Wxxx/QFxxxx)

5. How it only takes 600 SCs to become Gold in VA but QF needs 700 SCs to earn and 600 SCs to retain Gold - may be QF came to the same level of their competion or provide more benefits to QFF Gold so that the additonal 100 SC's to earn and retain provides more value

If they let all the Golds into the business lounge whole is going to be left in the qantas club sections? The paid members? Would just be moving the crowd to another lounge the business lounges are sometimes busy enough I don’t want to see all of the domestic travelling gold members in there.

VA also earn more SC so Everyone is Gold and it’s nothing special; you already have enough benefits as gold status.

I found the best for KL was into SIN and then Jeststar Asia for the short trip across but I stay in Singapore on the trip anyway

Completely agree on the comment about KUL. I do SYD/KUL once a month and used to always travel SYD/SIN/KUL on QF/3K for the higher SC but have found it just so much easier flying direct on MH. The connection for QF81 onto 3K669 was hit and miss about half the time.

I suspect there’s not enough demand for QF to offer a direct servide to KUL when there are multiple services to SIN with an easy one stop connection to KUL on 3K/MH, but a codeshare would be nice.

I agree with the MH code share to KL. I travel 3-4 times a year to India, and the current process is just evil - nothing like a full day at work in India, a midnight departure to SIN/HKG/BKK, then a all day wait for the evening flight to Sydney. MH has great connections into the sub continent, and one would think as part of the Oneworld alliance something better would be offered. The flight service manager on QF81 to SIN earlier this month told me there were rumors of QF going back to Mumbai with a direct service. However, with the great foot print MH has into India, I personally would prefer a code share into KUL, then a MH flight to India.

My thoughts and points exactly. It makes a very smooth connection to India via KUL and MH is the major player there. I used to do SYD-SIN-KUL-MAA, but it's a long flight/wait time and the thing is on the way back, as you mentioned, I need to take a 9H50M transit in HKG or something similar in BKK or SIN. It would be great if QF can codeshare w/ MH and do flights to India

Thank you.

When doing SYD-KUL-MAA on MH is only 14 hours (or less that 15 hours) of total travel time. But with SYD-SIN-KUL-MAA it's way more.

And one more thing I observed is, SYD-SIN-MAA, depending on the time of travel, you will need to do a overnight trasnit wait in SIN before the next service to MAA which starts at around 9 AM (or 7:30 AM, one of either). The SYD-SIN lands at SIN at around 10 PM local time and the next flight is next day morning.

If only QF did a codeshare w/ MH, we could do 11:30 AM SYD-KUL, arrive KUL at 7:30 PM, immediately a connection to MAA/any port in India at around 10:30 PM KUL time, arrive MAA/India at around 11:30/11:45 PM India time. All done in one day, rather than overnight wait at SIN when doing SYD-SIN-MAA

Re J lounge for QFF G - Agree that the QF Club would be under utilized.

FF Gold in the business lounge! No thanks.... to be frank Gold FF should also be excluded from thr priority boarding.

I would love to see the business, P & P1 line boarded first.... but pigs will fly first

On KUL, I'd think there is demand but not sufficient yield.

Less Business traffic versus SIN, and the other airlines on the route - Air Asia X, Malaysian Airlines and Malindo (to PER) have pretty low cost bases and often very low fares

And while I'm back to LTG at the moment, there is simply not enough room in the Business lounges for all the Golds (there would be multiple more Golds than Plats)
