Always been miles... at least since I started taking an interest in them.

Think its been miles for at least 10 years now.
I believe it was km back in the distant past

I believe LANPASS is the only FF program that both flies to Australia and uses kilometres to calculate flight earnings.
If that's of interest to you, do check the redemption rates before jumping ship – a higher earn rates doesn't always result in the best value.

I believe the only airline in the OW alliance to use metric is AY.
QF has always accrued in miles. Even BA and IB uses imperial measurements (disguised as Avios)!
Don't tell Brussels lest we get the metric martyrs all hot and bothered again!

QFF did indeed use to base points earning on KM rather than miles; this was changed in September 2001 when the current FF scheme was introduced.

Same time as the 1000 mile min was introduced if I am not mistaken.

Hmmm... for someone that travels 150 days a year, it is very strange that you have only just know realised that it is miles per point....
