10 million members and counting - yes Qantas are really screwing up.  All they have done is incentivising people who pay MORE for their plane tickets - to get more points - and fewer status credits if you fly on other carriers.   Qantas are at where Air NZ were at a few years back - restructering so they can grow again.  Yes their points aren't as valuable as there were a couple of years ago but what can you buy today that is?

Am I missing something nearly 300 people have just died and you are whinging about free range eggs, ff pearls and first class. This disgusts me. I enjoy flying but there is more to life than this crap.

Well Robert, if anything you have created a bit of colourful entertainment today, but Qantas has not alienated me, they are and will continue to be my airline of choice.

Sure, they may have changed a few things and it may be a lttle more difficult now to redeem points for flights, but I love them. I may not travel as frequently or in first class like you unless I redeem some points, but they always get me there and back safely and without fuss.

Qantas may have alienated some pax, I do care more about whether I can arrive safely.

However on a sad day in air-travel histroy, from "Rainman" to Real Fact, QF is still the airline hasnt lost a life/ an aircraft since the jet era started (of coz not counting those new comers) No matter how many airlines say "Safety is our first priority" QF can be still proud of its record.

As a Die Hard backer of QF, I would say, "QF, I do care & I do complaint." I suppose Robert does love QF very much and want QF to be a better airline. If QF needs to improve the bottom line for survival I would love to see them spending more on maintaining its outstanding safety record rathen than cabin services, if there is no other choice.

For everyone reference, I do support MAS very much too. I did fly more with MAS than QF since the MH370 incident.

Never seen a Q&A with this many comments :D

If Qantas were trying to alienate people they should start by hiring Robert. I don't think anyone, not even the biggest Qantas hater, agrees with Robert's tone here.

Robert you continue to sledge Qantas yet claim to be a Qantas Platiunum 1 member ,why the disloyalty to a brand that must treat you with some level of respect and dignity .i have my doubts about your claims and don't think you are what you claim to be.

Mate, in a previous thread he claimed to run a law office in the United States that employs 12 lawyers.   If that's true, they can't be practising law in the English language.
