Interested in working out the QF routes which still use a 747 excluding those routes which have been confirmed to change to a 787/A330 etc.

Off the top of my head, I can think of:
SYD-JNB
SYD-SCL
SYD-HND (although AJ has confirmed QF are looking at changing this route to an A380)
SYD-HNL

Anywhere else?

Didn’t think A380s were allowed in Haneda. A few domestic B747 flights are being planned later this year and early next year.

SYD-HNL reverts to an A330 in August, unless there is another extension of the 747 of course!

I am sure they can negotiate access for the A380 as Haneda is starting to be more flexible especially as a Japanese airline has A380s and may wish access as well.

There was recently an article about Qantas commencing A380 Services to Haneda. The sticking point seems to be that only one A380 can sit on the tarmac at the time, or news to that effect. This can be got around, by changing both flights, so the departure takes off around an hour two after the A380 arrives. I am sure Qantas would be investigating something along those lines.

My dad who is a 747 qantas captain told me that the 747 will be returning to fly to Honolulu in December

We are flying to Tokyo (Haneda) next week on a 747 sitting upstairs in my all time favourite spot on a
plane. Nothing like being up there on your own "plane within a plane" if you ask me. Going to miss these
babies when they eventually pull them out of service.

I am booked on QF3 on 16/8 and it is still showing as 747. I will be pretty annoyed if there is truth to this as I wanted to get one last go on the big boy.

The timetable shows A330 from 30th August.
