Following the opening of dedicated lounges in London, Istanbul and Sydney, the airline alliance has cut the ribbon on its newest branded lounge at Hong Kong International Airport.
Located past security near departure gate 15 in Terminal 1, the SkyTeam Hong Kong lounge provides seating for up to 230 guests: spread across a mixture of zones including in the comfort and relaxation area…
… complete with private orange pods for a little 'me time'…
… plus nearby two living walls…
… against the privacy wings…
…in the quasi dining room…
… and in wings perfect for larger groups:
In addition to free WiFi throughout the lounge, there’s a business nook with iMac computers, bench space to plonk your own laptop and power outlets with which to charge it…
… a TV room, private shower suites with en suite bathrooms…
… a small VIP room, and even a yoga room for a pre-flight workout:
Guests can browse a selection of reading material – available from near the reception desk…
… while enjoying a simple tea or coffee or a variety of other beverages including wine, Champagne, spirits, liqueurs, beer, soft drink, fruit juice and chilled water.
As you’d expect of any international lounge, a buffet providing both hot and cold food is available throughout the day…
… in addition to an ‘on-demand’ service with three types of noodles available by request.
Jointly operated by SkyTeam members China Airlines and China Eastern, Hong Kong is also served by SkyTeam alliance airlines Aeroflot, Air France, China Southern, Delta, Garuda, Kenya Airways, KLM, Korean Air, Vietnam Airlines and Xiamen Air.
Business class and first class passengers of the SkyTeam airlines above are welcome to visit the SkyTeam Hong Kong lounge, as are China Airlines Dynasty Flyer Gold, Emerald and Paragon members travelling with China Airlines and SkyTeam Elite Plus frequent flyers travelling with SkyTeam.
The lounge opens three hours prior to the first SkyTeam departure and closes when the last daily SkyTeam flight boards.

It looks like quite a nice lounge, not to mention the fact that it looks very bland the only colour is in the vegetation wall and the foodstuffs!

The Qantas HKG lounge is used by a number of SkyTeam airlines such as KLM. Do you know if the opening of this SkyTeam lounge will reduce the opening hours of the QF lounge?

I'm going to be contrarian. I like the light-neutrals color scheme. It is calming, soothing, delicate, very Air-France-ish (it reminds me of parts of the Paris La Premiere lounge). And it allows the splashes of vibrant green and orange to stick out more and draw attention.
This looks like a very nice lounge to chill out in.
