KrisFlyer launches global transfer bonus campaign

Transferring your credit card points to Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Miles will be more rewarding from now until November 22, with the airline offering a bonus of up to 15% more KrisFlyer Miles above the usual award rate.

Transfers amounting to the equivalent of 10,000 – 49,999 KrisFlyer Miles will be boosted by 12%, while transfers over 50,000 KrisFlyer Miles will see the top-level 15% boost.

Here’s how the bonus miles stack up:

KrisFlyer Miles to be converted per single eligible transaction

Bonus KrisFlyer Miles:

Example bonus

10,000 – 49,999

12%

40,000 KrisFlyer Miles = 44,800 KrisFlyer Miles

50,000 and above

15%

100,000 KrisFlyer Miles = 115,000 KrisFlyer Miles

The bonus means you’ll need to convert the bank rewards equivalent of 54,000 KrisFlyer Miles to book a one-way Business Class Saver award flight from Sydney, Melbourne ot Brisbane of Australia to Singapore – a flight that would normally require the equivalent of 62,000 KrisFlyer Miles to book.

Furthermore, if you don’t already have KrisFlyer status you are also elegible for the KrisFlyer “Unlock Status Credits” promotion, where every 5 KrisFlyer miles transferred gets you 1 Elite mile – consider it your fast-track to KrisFlyer Elite Silver or KrisFlyer Elite Gold, or even Solitaire PPS Club.

The campaign is global, and locally in Australia you’re able to transfer rewards points into KrisFlyer Miles from a number of partner banks including Westpac, ANZ, NAB and American Express.
