I have a new job working in the Maldives and was after a general opinion of the best way to get there. It's a one stop affair, either stopping in Asia or the Middle East.

There are a few options.
1. EK/QF from Australia to DXB then change to the EK flight to Male (there are two each day, EK658 & EK563)
2.MH from Australia to KUL then change to KUL Male flight MH177
3. SQ via SIN
4. Qatar Airways Via Doha
5. Etihad via Abu Dhabi
I guess the best option depends on if you have any alliance memberships which you consider important. if a QFF I would use the QF/EK options (no status credits are earned between Dubai and Male however). If you are Star Alliance, go SQ. Hope this helps
