If your employer has a virgin lounge membership scheme you can get reciprocal access throughout all NZ lounges and Aus. I managed to pick one up through work for around $200 p/a (plus a one off joining fee).. Check with your employer if they offer this. I also credit all my flights to AirNZ airpoints number, and they have no problem with me using my VA lounge card.

Does this allow Wife and two teenagers access at the same time?

Definitely allowed one guest.. I'd say it would depend on the front of house as to whether they let the kids in! They do have an option to pay for extra guests (maybe $50 pp?) but they don't advertise this - see http://www.ausbt.com.au/pay-your-way-into-air-new-zealand-s-australian-nz-airport-lounges ..

The other option is stand outside and wait for people travelling by themselves and get them to take your kids in ;)

I'd suggest you pay for memberships, like the rest of us do.  Why should your family get free passes? When that happens the benefits we pay for are diluted and our memberships devalued.

I currently have a Qantas Club Membership and a Virgin Lounge Membership so yes I do pay Wilsoni

I just that Qantas allows the whole family of 4 in every time whereas Virgin and Air NZ were a little bit stricter

I am wondering If there are any Lounge Memberships that allow access to the Air New Zealand Lounge Network and getting the whole family in on only one card
