I am taking two Business trips to Europe in Dec '14 and July '15 - Can choose between Etihad or Emirates - who gives me more bang for my buck with regards to Frequent Flyer points/status credits for Velocity or Qantas FF? Thanks

The QF earning calculator isn't working at the moment so not 100% sure. But I do know that VA requires less status credits to attain higher status levels. For example, a return business class fare through VA (flying EY), will earn you 560 status credits. This will instantly get you Gold. And if you include your next trip as well you will be Platinum.
