Does anyone know how to use Delta Air miles in Australia?

Their shopping mall online does not allow Australians to use it, and apart from flights, I am finding it hard to work out how to spend them

How many have you got?

You won't be able to use them except for Reward flights (Possible on Virgin Australia), Upgrades on Delta Operated Flights, Delta Sky Club (Access to Virgin Australia Lounges) or Donate them to a US Charity.

When you say Virgin - do you mean domestic or International?

Both Virgin Australia Domestic and International flights.

If you go on to the Delta website then log in you should see a booking area which allows you to the enter the city say Sydney for example to Brisbane.

The real trick is to press so flights in Miles down the bottom instead of money.

A Virgin Australia Domestic flight will cost you 22,500 Miles in Economy (+$20.79 taxes) or 40,000 Miles in Business Class with $20.79 taxes

Here are some example flights (oneway)

SYD-Nadi (Fiji) 22,500 Miles in Economy + $80 taxes

SYD-Nadi (Fiji) 40,000 Miles in Business + $80 taxes

SYD- Rarotonga (via Auckland) 22,500 Miles in Economy + $88 Taxes

SYD- Rarotonga (via Aukland) 40,000 Miles in Business + $88 Taxes

SYD- Los Angeles 45,000 Miles in Economy + $103 Taxes

All those flights above are oneway so you would need double the miles and double the taxes to get a return flight.

How many Delta points do you have? and where in Australia are you based?
