Does one have to travelling with QANTAS to use the QANTAS complimentary lounge invitation ticket? Thanks in advance

Yep, either QF or JQ. The wording on the back states '...You must present the invitation on arrival at the lounge and your next onward flight that day must be on a Qantas or Jetstar flight number. No guest allowed.'

Key word there - 'flight number', not 'operated flight' - so you're also good for access when travelling on Qantas codeshare flights (such as with Emirates, Asiana, China Eastern etc) when booked on the QF code. :)
