Has anyone had experience getting replacement bag tags?
After quite a few years my tags have gone brittle and all the rubber has fallen off them. I see quite a few tags on people’s bags and I seem to be the only one who’s tags have done this- although they were exposed to a few Northern Winters and the odd bit of snow!
Would QF replace these free?
I know I can buy replacements but not sure if they’ll come in my status or the usual red colour.
You get the tags as you level up to higher status but otherwise I think you can get new ones on request every few years or so (provided you’re not Bronze).
I'd had my Silver bag tags for 5 years, and they had degraded a lot with the humid Darwin weather, with the rubber becoming sticky and deteriorating. One completely broke during a trip overseas last year with the elastic separating from the disc. A quick call to Qantas and a new set were in the mail to me, no hassles and no charge.
I requested mine a couple of weeks ago (retained gold, yet had tags with the old design and asked for the new design). No questions asked and got them a week and a half later.

You just call up the call center and they will send you new coasters based on your current status.

Let us know how you go. My Platinum tags have no rubber edging left so I was thinking the same thing...

Just ordered replacements. You can get a set each year on request, if you stay at the same level.
