Qantas boosts Boeing 787s to Perth, grows Embraer E190 regional fleet
Jun 17, 2021, 09:19 PMLoved the 787 in PE last week, but no wifi compared to my a330 return. It may sway my decision next time not to fly the Dreamliner.

Qantas has big plans for your flight's small seatback screens
Apr 28, 2021, 09:50 PMCan tell the wifi is being hammered these days. Four flights in the last month and it’s nowhere near as fast as it used to be and there is a lot time spent buffering.Great news about the IFE supplier updates. I miss the days of channel 9 providing the news. Partnering with Sky was a mistake.

Most Qantas airport lounges will reopen on December 2
Nov 11, 2020, 04:37 PMNo problems keeping the QF club in Melbourne closed - I for one hope it doesn’t reopen again. That refurb was terrible, but the Business side was awesome!

Coronavirus shutdown: Qantas closes all airport lounges
Mar 19, 2020, 09:17 PMWas in the Melbourne business lounge a few days ago and the QF club was closed. Business lounge was absolutely packed and people looking for spaces to sit. I'd imagine that won't be the case for too long though.

Qantas increases domestic carry-on cabin bag allowance to 10kg per bag
Mar 08, 2019, 08:23 PMPerfect! Flown 4 times with the 7kg enforced rule with a 9kg bag and every time was having a minimum 40 minute wait at the baggage carousel. Sanity prevails for a change. It rarely does these days

ET community comment feature for articles published (and republished) in ET
Jul 19, 2021, 07:17 AMDavid - +1 for not turning off comments so often. Quite often I see articles where I'd like to say something, but comments are turned off. It now means I visit your site much less than I used to. I've gone from maybe weekly reading to perhaps once a month?

Melbourne Lounge Closed with NO warning
Jun 18, 2021, 06:41 AMMelbourne has a maximum of 75 people seated indoors. Based on that I’d say it’s not able to re-open just yet.

Traveller etiquette
Feb 24, 2021, 09:16 PMReturning tonight on a flight, and something struck me as really rude. The passenger a few seats away was watching their iPad with no headphones. Just plain old speakers turned upon front while he watched his show. (FYI Row 4, so I assume they are a very regular traveller, not some holiday maker)...

The future of Virgin Australia post COVID-19
Apr 12, 2020, 12:38 PMPerhaps Australia (and NZ) is just too small for two domestic airlines to operate profitably and sustainably? How do you overcome that in my view? Open the skies to finally allow domestic operations and terminals between Aus and NZ, and allow both airlines to operate as domestic flights in each co...
