Etihad brings back worldwide chauffeur service

Etihad Airways will offer a global chauffeur service to all first class passengers beginning 1 August 2025.

The Gulf carrier currently offers chauffeur drive on a limited basis, between its hub at Zayed International Airport and “your home or hotel in the UAE,” for passengers in first class as well as those with a Business Comfort or Business Deluxe ticket.

However, this will be extended to a worldwide service as the cornerstone in a suite of benefits exclusive to first class passengers, on both departure and arrival at any Etihad destination.

Also coming online from 1 August:

  • a “dedicated personal concierge” to help first class flyers “plan and manage” their journey
  • personalised Meet & Assist service from arrival to departure
  • board your flight directly from the first class lounge at Zayed International Airport, or enjoy an “executive transfer” to the aircraft on a chauffeured private limousine

These will complement current first class perks such as having checked luggage delivered to your home or hotel.

The airline says that first class travellers departing from Abu Dhabi “will also soon benefit from complimentary Home Check-In and Land & Leave services, offering a baggage-free airport experience.”

Speaking at the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, where Etihad also launched its new Airbus A321LR suites and seats, CEO Antonoaldo Neves said he considered first class to be “more than just a seat.”

“It’s how you feel when you book a ticket, when you come to the airport, how are you taken care of at the airport during the journey onboard, and then when you get home.”

“We’re bringing First to more destinations and elevating it at every touchpoint, combining the elegance of champagne and caviar with the convenience of modern luxury."
