100 incredible views from airplane windows

We all spend a lot of time on planes, and quite a slice of that looking out the window.

If you're lucky, you'll see some extraordinary sights... and if you're really lucky you'll capture that moment on your camera.

With that in mind, we'd like to share some snaps from a photo gallery entitled 100 Incredible Views Out Of Airplane Windows.

Here are the first five.

1. London, England

"I took these shots on the 23rd of December" explains Tim Gallagher. "This fog delayed my next flight but at least I got these shots. This is Canary Wharf, the new financial center in London."

2. Mount Everest and Makalu, Nepal

3. Cargill Salt Ponds, San Francisco Bay

"I love the colors of these ponds" says photographer Kevin Kemmerer. "These colors are just as you see them - I did not do anything to this image other than cropping and levels. The interesting colors are from brine shrimp, algae, and other stuff growing in the ponds."

4. Skagway, Alaska

5. The Alps, Northern Italy
