Under the usual (and deliberately innocuous) heading of "changes" American Express has this morning devalued from 10 January 2024 the everyday spend earn rate on the Qantas American Express Ultimate Card, reducing it after 100,000 Qantas points from 1.25 to 1. As is also usual, the American Express notice then poses questions no-one is asking and deliberately avoids answering/justifying/explaining the key question: Why?
