So i have finally racked up enough QF Status credits to obtain Platinum One (Thanks to some double status promotions)....however noticed that even though my credits have reached the threshold above minimum 3600 required, my status has remained at Platinum and has not automatically been upgraded to P1... is this normal, or do i have to wait for Qantas check?

Was 2700 of it on Qantas operated and marketed flights? Because that's the main criteria.

The system is not automatic for P1. Your account is periodically checked according to advice I received from QF in a similar situation. May I recommend you ring QF and check when they will be doing the assessment?
The P1 status does not appear on every page of your online profile either - on some it may say platinum and others P1. Confusing.
Once they have assigned your new status, it may be worth giving the P1 team a call to explore their role in facilitating your QF experience. You will find many key activities (bookings, flight changes, upgrades, etc) are still performed by the familiar premium team as per your Platinum membership so it's not obvious why or when you'd call the P1 folk.
Note that most of the P1 team only work office hours Monday to Friday so you may get voicemail if you ring after hours.

It does take a few days.
I would expect it to show on line by the weekend.

I have had the same issue - P1 status shows online and I have card but at airport and on boarding passes I appear as gold FF. Had one experience in Melbourne with Qantas check in nazi not wanting to let me into Business Lounge - had to prove status on mobile - no apology but was granted reluctant entrance. I have called FF service centre twice but no success in fixing. Any further suggestions?
If you are P1 (rather than Platinum) you could ring the P1 team (the number on the back of the P1 card) and request some support on the issue...
Oh, i logged on today and the main page had a little "Congratulation" and a little welcome message!I reached the threshold on Sunday, and today is Wednesday so took just over 2 working days :)
Now just to await the welcome pack in the mail :) Yay!
