The seats are terrible it's hard and even worse when your stuck in the middle. My AVOD wasn't working and the food made me sick

Exactly the same plane. I think the food is marginally better on the SYD-LAX flight (VA1). The BNE-LAX flight is shorter, too, which means you won't get as long to enjoy the rather nice in-flight bar.

The seats are adequate, and since my review, they've added a mattress cover to the seats, which does improve things quite a bit in bed mode.
