Does anyone know why there was a Qatar airways a340 parked at the private jet area of Sydney airport (near t2- virgin). It's registration is a7-aah and apparently it is a part of something called Qatar Amiri flight? Any word on what that is or means?

I saw it there on the weekend and I was hoping they were here to negotiate flying to Sydney........one can only dream.

The Qatari royal family making the rounds again by the sound of it. They have been making the trip once a year for a while now. Expect to see them in Melbourne and Brisbane as well. Not sure if its purely leisure travel or business negotiations as well.
