I am planning to travel Economy all the way from Hong Kong to Manila via CX then onwards to Singapore via SQ on the same day. I am a Velocity Platinum member. If I check-in online and print off my SQ boarding pass, will i be able to access the Silverkris lounge in Hong Kong even though I am not travelling on SQ on that leg but will be with them on the onwards trip? The velocity website mentions access to the Silverkris lounges for platinum members needs a same day boarding pass so will that suffice entry in Hong Kong even though its ex Manila? I hope someone can advise. Thanks.

You probably won't have access in HKG, only MNL. A check on SQ's website wasn't very helpful, only listing qualifying passengers "departing on Singapore Airlines operated flights".

There are, however, some good eats in HKG's public terminal areas, both landside and airside, so fret not if the lounge dragon turns you away.
