On my first business trip to Johannesburg, wondering if anyone can recommend couple of 4-5 start properties in CBD

When I visited Johanesburg last year we stayed at the Emperors Palace resort and the hotel we stayed in was the D'Orelle Grand. Me and my wife stayed in one of there suites and the service staff and food was nothing but fantastic. Also being in Joahnesburg a place where security is not renowned emperors palace felt safe as it is a closed compound and it had stuff do such as the cinema and restaurants.  There is also a shuttle bus that runs from the airport which is quite safe or the hotel can pick you up from the the O R Tambo International.

Are you a member off any hotel chains like Hilton  H'Honors or SPG or  priority club etc if you are stay with these for upgrades ,free breakfast ,late checkout etc,if you are not join one now and get the benefits .hope this helps

Look on kiwicollection.com - they have a very good selection in Joburg. Mandela Square is a safe area with direct trains from/to the airport - the new Gauteng trains.The Saxon nearby is unbeatable, but the price is very steep.
