Having some issues with booking some EK seats (in c) with my qf points.

The seats are available online, but won't book- when I call agents are telling me they aren't there, but both emirates skywards and expert flyer (as well as qantas) are still showing them available.

Anyone had similar situation and know what can be done to get qf to book them?

This is not just for EK through QF tool. I had same situation last month with QF online booking tool showing FF redemption availability on CX in Business for HKG-FCO and HKG-LHR, but this was not visible to the qantas call centre agents. Agent said this was very common for HKG-FCO route, and they had been given a memo about this 'phantom' availability issue, but no word on fix date. I wasnt able to find a way round it, so used a different routing for the HKG-FCO, and used BA for the HKG-LHR. I dont know if it would have worked to do the booking online, as my itineraries needed to be booked by the call centre as I used some carriers not shown online. These were the only segments in 2 complex RTW bookings that had this issue. Had never struck this previously.

Thanks for info-

im finding the responses from the qf staff to be really strange. (One told me to delete my cookies as I was looking at old inventory!)

its frustrating as I know the seats are there and available, just qf would let me book them.

i don't know if I should give up or keep calling!
