Just an update for people re my booking with Velocity points for a VAtlantic flight. After 2 weeks and numerous phone calls to Velocity and VAtlantic I finally emailed the Head of Velocity at VAust. Had a quick response. A call from Velocity informed me that a team were still working on re- accommodation but no timeline as to when and how at this stage. They could however how get me to HK with Sin but could not get me home on the required date. I only booked via HK because I had points to burn and a stopover there would be fine. Now no confirmation of when they would or could accommodate my booking utilising points. Needless to say I have cancelled the booking with VAust and reserved a seat with Qantas for the dates required. Not happy at all with VAust and the trip has ended up costing me thousands more because of what has happened.
