I remember going back a while (10-20 years) there would be websites offering much cheaper than normal fares, presumably for quite times and/or less popular routes. Do they still exist? I'm thinking more for retirees, where they can be quite flexible and may want to plan the trip around the fares offered, rather than finding the cheapest fare for a specific date. If you know of one you'd recommend please share!
AFAIK they still exists though it is not about "quite" time, but about seats reserved by points that those websites buying from people who sick of searching reward seats. However you should understand that this practice is fairly legal and there was examples when people was not allowed to board the plane for breaching "point rules"
