Does anyone have any insight into the proposal for Virgin Australia to codeshare with Virgin Atlantic SYD-HKG later this year? In particular I'm interested in the aircraft type that Virgin Australia might deploy on this route (VA had and Airbus A330-300) and lounge arrangements in SYD and HKG. Thanks!

Hey Brad1961, This codeshare basicaly means that VA/DJ will also sell the flights offered by VS. The aircraft will still be operated by VS on an A340-600. Status credits and points will still be available if your with either Flying Club or Velocity. As for lounge access its Air New Zealand Koru lounge for Sydney and Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse for Hong Kong.
Hope this helps, Happy Travels!

Many thanks @jonom, it sounds as though the traveller will essentially not notice ny change.
