Etihad's Abu Dhabi lounges - waiting times for the showers with a short transit?

Hi all,

Travelling on Etihad in Business for the first time next week from MEL to LHR.

I was status matched from BA Gold a month or so ago and was able to secure a great fare. I'm looking forward to it!

For those that have travelled with them previously, would be grateful for advice on lounges during the stop over at Abu Dhabi. I'd like to get a shower in but have heard that there can be a lack of availability. Time will be short.

I have flown with Etihad in Business quite a number of times and have experienced their Business class lounge and showers. I have never had a problem with availability, if there was a wait I was told about 15mins max.

Grab a quite bite or a massage if you do have to wait. Good luck getting a seat in the lounge though!

I have flown Ethiad a number of times and only had to wait a short time for a shower (if at all).  Should be OK.  The attendants will come and get you once a shower becomes free.

I have found waiting times for showers short - usually 5-10 mis max. However the massage waiting times can be longer. Best to book one as soon as you get there. On one occassion I was told a waiting time of an hour, another about 15-20 mins
