I'm confused. (Dosen't take much these days). To maintain Velocity Gold I'm told I need to earn 320 status credits and fly 2 eligible sectors. Do I need to do both or will flying 2 eligible sectors be enough to maintain gold?

My understanding is that any status credits you accrue for the purpose of maintaining Gold need to have been on 'eligible sectors'. 'Ineligible sectors' will stll accrue status credits but will not count towards maintaining Gold.

"As soon as your Status Credit balance reaches 500 and you have flown four Eligible Sectors you will be automatically upgraded to Gold membership.

To maintain Gold membership you will need to earn 400 Status Credits and fly four Eligible Sectors within your 12 month benefit period."

Eligible Sectors in this context mean Eligible Sectors on Virgin Australia only.

Both. 2 eligible sectors must be VA flight number and you also need 320 status credits.
