What are the chances of having enough seats to "buy" a last minute upgrade on Etihad Dreamliners from BNE. Last time i was told it was $600 for that segment? Also, is there a site to check on available J Class seats on any particular flight?

Expertflyer will show the availability for any particular flight... As for chances of buying a last minute upgrade its very hard to say unfortunately. If J is fairly empty than there might be a chance after they have cleared FF's upgrading with points etc...
