Virgin smashed the wheelhousing on my new suitcase & claim they dont cover wheels or handles. I' m 65 with arthritis& cant pull the case. In Sydney for 8 days travelling on public transport. Its a superlight flyer with warranty left in Adelaide. Any suvggestipns

Virgin are liable, and are insured for this.  Wheels or use on a plane voids most manufacturers warranties with luggage, so they are next to useless.  I suggest you get a claim in asap with Virgin.

Buy a new bag. Virgin Australia are pretty clear on their website they don't cover wheels or handles:
