Hi - I was trying to make a booking with SQ (Melb - Europe) in 1st class and was told by SQ that 1st class is not being offered on selected flights from Sin - Melb commencing from early October 2016. Has anybody had the same?? Thank you...

I don't think this is new.  SQ currently flies A380s, 77Ws. 77Es, 773s and A333s to MEL depending on flight and time of year.  Only the A380 and 77W currently offer first class (and Premium Economy).  The remainder are just Business and Economy.

Thank you.  I do this flight often and just checked again and the flight SQ217 is a 77Ws which up till early October has 1st  and assuming that the SQ call centre was correct that SQ are cutting back on 1st to Melb from October 2016.  Anyways thanks again.
