Hi, I'm a platinum Qantas frequent flyer, traveling with my family - parents and older sibling to Hong Kong in a couple of week's time. Just wondering how many guests would I allow to take with me to the International business lounge at melbourne airport? I would be in serious trouble with choosing if I can only bring 1 guest...thanks in advance.

You are entitled to take in 1 guest and as @Jack has stated, you can access the First Lounge.

One option, if you are flying QF, is to obtain some guest passes or buy a 30 day American Airlines Admirals Membership for one of your guests... which will provide them access to the Business Lounge with a guest or two.

Hence, you can all slum it in the QF business lounges.
