Hi there

I am flying to Australia from Azerbaijan tomorrow - first with Qatar and then Qantas - different bookings.  Who should I call to join the PNR?  Has anyone had experience with this?

Thanks

You can just join PNR's.

If your trying to do something like through check-in or interline baggage then that's a different situation.

As for the check in then Qatar may be able to check you into the Qantas flights.

They should be able to check your bags through as they have stopped following the crazy oneworld policy about checking bags through.

What particular flights are you taking...

eg GYD-DOH-DXB (Qatar) then DXB-SYD or MEL (QF)

or are you flying all the way to Australia on Qatar and then just Qantas for a final domestic flight.

Hi!  Thanks for your reply.  I am flying GYD - DOH - SIN with Qatar and then SIN - BNE with Qantas - same for the return.  How do I join PNR's?

Thanks

Yeh so you can't join PNR's but at GYD airport Qatar will be able to check your bag through to Brisbane if you show them the Qantas ticket. At Singapore you'll just need to present yourself at the transfer desk and show the baggage receipt that Qatar gave you.

Qantas has stopped through checking baggage which means on your return flight you'll need to collect your bags and check-in in again Singapore at the Qatar desk (so if you need a Singapore visa then you'll need to arrange one now [Australian's don't need one]).

I'm hoping that answers your question but if it dosen't then please feel free on what you are wishing to acheieve when you "Join PNR's"
