I'm travelling from LAX - JFK in Delta economy using my Velocity points as a Reward Seat. I want to know whether this will include any baggage. Also as a side note does anyone know if I can pay to upgrade to Comfort Plus if I book the seats using points?
If the flight is booked with a DL flight number then the Delta baggage allowance applies.
If you hold no Virgin Status then it's US$25 for the first bag (23kg) and then US$35 (also 23kg) for the second bag.
If you're a Virgin Silver card holder then the first 32kg bag is free or if your VA Gold/Plat then the first two 32kg bags are free.
As for the Upgrade you should be able to by logging into the Delta website and selecting the new seat on the Delta website. If this isn't possible with the current booking code you've got then you'll need to ring Virgin Australia and ask for the Delta PNR then you can try again on the Delta website with this new booking number. If all else fails, try ringing Delta cause it is possible to pay to upgrade as long as you're booked on a DL flight number and have only Delta flights in that booking.
