Can anyone please tell me if "eligible sectors" are pooled along with points and status credits? I have qualified for Platinum points-wise but have only flown 4 eligible sectors.

No, you must do the 8 flights.

the pooling only accumulates from the date you opt-in to family pooling anyhow
