Looking at staying at Hilton South Wharf and wondered if you get HHonors Gold benefits when booking through Expedia.com? I know you dont get points but other perks perhaps?

Give the hotel a call a few days before your stay, let them know your number.

For what it's worth, here's my experience at the Hilton Sydney – I booked a 'Wot Hotel' deal at Wotif.com, and it turned out to be the Hilton.
I called up the Hotel and added my HHonors number (I'm a Diamond member), and they happily added it. I got my room upgrade, exec lounge access, and complimentary breakfast. All in all, a rather successful outing.
(Btw, if you're considering Expedia because they're cheaper, look up Hilton's "Best Rates Guarantee" – they'll match the price and credit you $50 on top of that)
