Hi all, few questions about an upcoming flight with Emirates that I redeemed on Qantas Points. Flying EK415 (SYD-DXB) on N and then EK131 (DXB-DME) on Z. Also I'm a lowly bronze member with Qantas.

Will I be entitled to access the lounge in SYD even though first leg is N class?

Will I still be able to utilise chauffeur pick up in Moscow?

Can I utilise first class check in desk at SYD?

I'm assuming it will be a no but hoping I'm wrong for one or even on both counts! Now, here's hoping for an upgrade on the first leg (aka hell freezes over).

I also assume I will be allowed the lounge access at DXB and other First class entitlements.

I imagine you'll get a better answer if you clarify which cabins you have booked on each flight (economy, business or first), because when you redeem points on a flight as a 'classic reward', the fare letter isn't really important and different airlines use different letters.

Cheers Chris.

SYD-DXB in economy and then on to DXB-DME in First class.

In short:

Sydney lounge access: no, unless you have a Gold/Platinum frequent flyer card. (If you have a suitable AMEX card, you may be able to access the American Express Lounge, of course.) Nothing stopping you from approaching the Emirates lounge with both boarding passes and asking what's possible, however.

Chauffeur in Moscow: Yep, because you're arriving in first class.

First class check-in in Sydney: If it were me, I'd give it a try given that you are checking-in for a first class flight as part of your journey. (If you're breaking the journey in Dubai for a couple of days, though, that's different and I'd use the economy queue as that's what you'd be checking-in for.)

First class lounge in Dubai: Yes, because your next onward flight is in first class.
