I should know this but just wanted to double check. I'm looking at booking a CX flight from LAX to HKG but operated by AA, i.e. CX flight number but AA metal. I assume I would get status credits to my QF account and according to the online calculator it would be 160. But for some reason the calculator says AA flights are not available on this segment, which I assume is just a glitch on the website?
As far as I understand, I would get status credits on all CX codeshare flights as long as it is operated by an OneWorld airline (in this case AA). This is correct right? I could also just book a CX flight operated by CX but as I've never tried AA long haul business product, I thought it would be interesting to test it out. Or shall I just stick with CX which is more predictable in terms of quality and comfort?
I would say CX based on overall comfort feel both with product and service. I did fly NRT-DFW on AA in J class last year and it was a very good flight.

Im going to be very surprised if anyone who has genuinely flown both AA and CX recommends anything other than CX.

Thanks for the reinforcement guys. I went with CX instead of AA. I've flown CX many times therefore at least I know what I'll be getting.
