Good news, I was shocked how narrow, cramped and poor the herringbone seats are on the Boeing 787 I flew recently from SFO to LHR and back. Ditto same seats on Air New Zealand 787s. I have to agree with Joe, however nice the seats are, the 777 is a VERY noisy aircraft and one I try to avoid at any cost. The experience on an A380 or 787 is way better. And definitely, the bar on any of the planes that have one, even VA makes a big positive difference. So yes 4 or 4.5 stars for...

FYI I found the Etihad Apartment bed far too hard to sleep comfortably but the pace is nice, the old SQ suites bed is much better IMHO, managed to miss new SQ on recent trips )-: SQ serve better drinks too. That would be pretty dumb. The lounge adds a positive to the Q equation. They need as much positive as they can get! The restaurant waiters could do with better attitude though, a bit brusque.

I had to argue at LHR to get my full luggage allowance. After a bit they agreed that Platinum was equivalent to PPS and did not charge me. Was rather worried as excess would have been a huge bill )-:
