Chateau on the Park Christchurch joins DoubleTree by Hilton family

By Chris Chamberlin, July 12 2016

Hilton is expanding its reach across New Zealand with the Chateau on the Park Christchurch hotel joining the DoubleTree by Hilton brand from September 1 2016 as Hilton Worldwide's first property in the South Island's largest city.

That’s when members of the Hilton HHonors loyalty program will receive free WiFi with every stay booked directly with Hilton or the hotel, while Gold and Diamond members can enjoy space-available upgrades to higher room types and a complimentary daily breakfast.

Public areas of the hotel also offer free WiFi to all guests and visitors.

Of course, guests who do check-in will enjoy the DoubleTree’s signature warm chocolate chip cookies on arrival before retiring to one of 192 rooms, stocked with Aroma Actives amenities.

Also on-site: two food and beverage outlets, meeting rooms, a business centre, a swimming pool and a gymnasium, with the property surrounded by five acres of gardens on the fringe of Christchurch’s CBD, through which you can walk to reach the busy city centre.

As an added bonus for HHonors members, all guests who stay through December 31 2016 will earn a bonus 1,000 HHonors points per night in addition to earning points at the usual rates.
