China: new Westin opening hotels in Ningbo, Xiamen & Xi'an

Travellers to Ningbo, Xiamen and Xi'an will have new international-standard business hotel options when three new Westin hotels open over the next six months.

Westin has already opened hotels in Nanjing, Wuhan and Guangzhou this year, and will have a total of sixteen Chinese hotels by April 2012.

In their rooms at the new hotels, guests can look forward to various trademark Westin Heavenly amenities: the Heavenly Bed, Bath, Shower, Robe, and White Tea toiletries are all on offer.

The Xi'an and Xiamen hotels will also feature the Heavenly Spa, and all three hotels contain thousands of square feet of meeting facilities.

If you're working in the rooms, you'll also find an "ergonomic work space" and high-speed Internet access.

Since Westin is part of the Starwood hotel group, you can earn points in the Starwood Preferred Guest loyalty program.

Those can either be exchanged for free nights somewhere swanky (usually the best value) or transferred as points into several airline loyalty programs (but not Qantas or Virgin Australia schemes).
