Travelling to LAX at the end of July and have been informed of a pending aircraft downgrade indicating that I'll be regraded from F to J (Oh well). However, I would be inclined to think that the singular A380 service will be replaced by two 787's. Would anyone have any information on whether there will be an extra afternoon 787 to account for the reduction in seats?
You should seriously consider changing the date of your flight to LAX if you enjoy travelling in F. A downgrade from F to J results in a minimal refund. Qantas takes the price you paid for F and gives you the difference to the highest possible fare for a J seat, even though few people ever pay the maximum fare for J. So your refund will be unexpectedly and unfairly small.
